Re: iso-8859-1 character set Mindat.org will be migrating to a pure unicode (UTF8) environment shortly - In the meantime non iso-8859-1 characters can be entered and they will be recorded as escaped HTML codes such as

Somewhere we probably need to decide if we are going to include things like "X Province, Country" in the string. Technically in the US there are states but nobody calls them that (while counties are usually identified by that in the string).--Davidvb@worldnet.att.net 21:36, 30 Mar 2005 (BST)
