Pre Test

Delete all caches from /caches

Home Page

  • Test layout in Internet Explorer 6 and Firefox
  • Ensure cache cleared before each attempt
  • Check items are being updated correctly
  • Ensure works in minimum of 1024x768 screen resolution without overlap, and at 800x600 with minimal overlap.

Mineral Pages

The following mineral entries have a range of data displayed and a range of complexity and make a good test suite. If any particular minerals have difficulties in the future, add to this list for future testing: 

Calcite
Quartz
Agate
Gold
Chalybite
Anthophyllite
Amosite
  • Check pages in both IE and Firefox

Gallery

  • View gallery from mineral page (eg Quartz). Make sure that varieties (eg Amethyst) show.
  • Check number of photos reported tallies with number of photos on that mineral gallery.
  • Go to Users' Galleries Page. Make sure displays correctly
  • View several users galleries and make sure display correct details (must include locality name, mineral name(s), details and copyright statement. Make sure link to photo is correct.
  • Check photo gallery from location page
  • Check site photo gallery from location page
